I love high tea for their cute dainty sandwiches and mini desserts. If I ever go to London, that’s what I’d be doing. Having real ‘afternoon tea’ every day. A tea party at a friend’s place can be just as fun though. ;] It’s actually the first time I’ve ever bought smoked salmon even though I love the stuff. Onion chive cream cheese + a slab of smoked salmon on multi grain bread. So simple and good, plus it’s great for lazy cooks – try making it sometime!

What’s even more simple is cucumber + cream cheese! Add a dash of salt to sliced cucumbers and let sit for 15 min on paper towels to remove any excess water. No one likes soggy sandwiches.

And there you have it! I made two of the most basic, classic tea sandwiches for a little party.
