Have you noticed that I really like the color green around here?
I’m back with another smoothie recipe! Long long ago, I had posted a different green smoothie recipe that was quite popular, but contained a lot of different ingredients. This smoothie is more simplified and incorporates rolled oats, which I find to be an easy way to get oats in as I normally hate oatmeal. Oatmeal cookie yes. Oatmeal in a bowl, not really my friend. I have tried to make savory oats but that’s for another day..
I’ve also since upgraded to a Vitamix and everything is so much smoother with it!
1/2 to 1 frozen banana
Handful rolled oats
Milk of your choice (start with enough to cover 1/3 of the ingredients and increase as you blend to the consistency of your choice)
Pineapple or other fruit of your choice is optional
There you have it. A wonderful way to consume the healthy rolled oats without the mushy bland taste or all the added sugar toppings you need to cover a bowl of regular oatmeal.
